Information Collection and Use

Information We Do Not Collect

Scrambordle itself does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information to our servers. We do not:

• Collect your name, email address, or contact information
• Track your location
• Access your contacts, photos, or other personal data
• Store game data on external servers (except for iCloud sync, as described below)

Note: the third-party advertising SDK (Google AdMob) described below does collect device identifiers for ad delivery. See the Advertising section for details.

Local Data Storage

All game data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Game statistics (puzzles solved, streaks, scores)
• Your puzzle progress and game states
• Settings and preferences

iCloud Sync

If you are signed in to iCloud on your device, Scrambordle uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your game data across your devices. This includes:

• Game statistics and achievements
• Current puzzle states (daily and unlimited modes)
• Game preferences

Important points about iCloud sync:

• iCloud sync is automatic if you're signed in to iCloud
• Your data is stored in your private iCloud storage
• We cannot access your iCloud data
• Your data syncs only between your own devices signed in to the same iCloud account
• iCloud data is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy
• You can disable iCloud for Scrambordle in your device Settings

Advertising

Scrambordle displays banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob. Ads are shown to users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade. Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use:

• Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA / GAID) — only if you grant App Tracking Transparency permission
• Coarse device information (model, OS version) for ad serving
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

On first launch you will be shown Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you deny tracking, Google will serve non-personalized ads and will not use your IDFA. You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Google AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can permanently remove all ads with a one-time in-app purchase described below.

In-App Purchases

Scrambordle offers a single non-consumable in-app purchase — Remove Ads Forever — which permanently disables all advertisements. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your payment information. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID and restores automatically across all your devices.

Analytics

Scrambordle does not use any first-party analytics services. We do not track how you use the app, which features you access, or how long you play.

Children's Privacy

Scrambordle does not knowingly collect any personal information from children or anyone else. The app is designed to be used without creating an account or providing any personal information.

Data Security

Since all game data is stored locally on your device and we do not operate any servers:

• Your data security is managed by your device's operating system
• iCloud synced data is protected by Apple's security measures
• We recommend using device passcodes and keeping your iOS updated for optimal security

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

• Delete Local Data: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data
• Disable iCloud Sync: Turn off iCloud for Scrambordle in iOS Settings
• Delete iCloud Data: Disable iCloud sync and delete the app from all your devices

Third-Party Services

Scrambordle uses the following third-party services:

• Apple CloudKit — Syncs game data between your devices. Data stays in your private iCloud storage. (Apple Privacy Policy)
• Apple StoreKit — Processes in-app purchases. We never see your payment details. (Apple Privacy Policy)
• Google AdMob — Delivers banner advertisements to users who have not purchased the ad-free upgrade. May collect device identifiers as described in the Advertising section above. (Google Privacy Policy)

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Data Retention

Your local game data persists until you uninstall the app. iCloud data persists until you delete the app from all devices connected to your iCloud account and disable iCloud sync for Scrambordle.

International Users

Scrambordle is available worldwide. Your data is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your iCloud account. iCloud data location is determined by your Apple ID country setting and Apple's data center locations.
